Sarah Hartney, M.S. CCC-SLP

Sarah has been a speech-language pathologist since 2012. She worked 8+ years for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in an outpatient setting in Florida. Over the course of the last 8 years, Sarah has specialized in treating children with feeding/swallowing disorders, children in the birth-to-three population, children on the autism spectrum, as well as children who are non-verbal and use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) such as speech-generating devices. She is a certified Hanen More Than Words provider (which is a parent-based program that focuses on improving your child’s interaction skills, social communication skills, and play skills for children on the autism spectrum or have other social communication difficulties).

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She was born and raised near Clearwater, FL and she and her husband recently relocated to O’ahu in December 2020.

She opened Kokua Therapy Services, LLC in February 2021 and also works part-time for the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa as an instructor and supervisor for graduate students in the University Health Partners of Hawai’i Speech and Hearing Clinic.

When she is not working she is often doing something outdoors with her husband and friends. Favorite activities include: hiking, biking, surfing, paddle boarding, scuba diving/snorkeling, playing volleyball, or just soaking up the sun with a good book.
